After a two-week trial, the Tapo RV10 proved to be an efficient cleaner for my home. Utilizing the scheduled cleaning feature while I'm away at work, it effectively tackled pet hair and minimized dust accumulation, especially crucial as I reside near a construction site.


This effectiveness is primarily attributed to its robust 2000Pa suction power, which effortlessly lifts various debris, including small coins. Notably, the Tapo RV10 series is particularly pet-friendly, as pets' hair doesn't easily tangle in its main brush, a common issue with other robot vacuums I've tested.


Equipped with a 2600mAh battery, TP-Link claims a continuous runtime of up to 3 hours. In my experience, it managed to vacuum and mop my 1500 sq ft condominium thrice, with approximately 20% battery remaining, sufficient for homes up to 4500 sq ft.


Both the Tapo RV10 Plus and Tapo RV10 models feature a mopping function, complete with a mopping cloth and internal water tank. While it effectively removes dust and minor stains, it may struggle with tough stains due to its basic wiping motion. Nonetheless, it significantly reduces dust accumulation and maintains a streak-free tile floor.


The standout feature of the RV10 Plus model is its auto-empty dock, which automatically cleans the vacuum after each session. This ensures a hygienic and dust-free operation, a significant improvement over manual cleaning required by other vacuums.


In terms of build quality, despite its affordability, the Tapo RV10 stands out, boasting smooth operation and easy-to-clean compartments. Additionally, all models come equipped with a HEPA filter system, capturing up to 99.99% of microscopic dust particles.

Functionally identical to the S9, the S9+ boasts a distinct internal dustbin design, equipped with a debris disposal port covered by a rubber flap. While both models offer comparable cleaning prowess, the inclusion of the auto-empty dock minimizes manual maintenance tasks.
