The range features user-friendly knobs and a slanted digital display panel for easy navigation. LG's "smart diagnosis" feature is particularly noteworthy, allowing data transmission directly to LG's Customer Information Center via your phone for hassle-free troubleshooting (this feature is optional and requires opting in). However, during testing, connecting to the app did require a few attempts.

In our testing, we found the cooktop to provide balanced heat distribution, quick water boiling, and consistent simmering. With the inclusion of an 18,500-BTU power burner, self-clean options, and a reasonable price point, this gas range proves to be an excellent choice for nearly any kitchen.

Maytag MGR6600PZ Freestanding

The Maytag gas range, exemplified by the MGR6600PZ model, stands out as a remarkable value proposition, offering an exceptional blend of performance, functionality, and affordability. Building upon the legacy of its predecessor, which garnered commendable results in laboratory testing, this sleek fingerprint-resistant stainless steel range serves as a worthy replacement for the discontinued model.

One of the standout features of the MGR6600PZ is its thoughtful design enhancements, including weighted knobs and an updated handle, which not only contribute to its aesthetic appeal but also enhance usability and durability.

Functionally, the range impresses with its versatility, boasting five burners on the stove top, including a central burner ideally suited for accommodating oversized Dutch ovens or stovetop griddles. This configuration allows for seamless multitasking and accommodates a variety of cooking needs with ease.

Moreover, the range's performance in cooking tasks is consistently reliable, as demonstrated by its ability to maintain water at a steady simmer on the stovetop and achieve even browning of bread in the oven. Samsung NY63T8751SS

Samsung's dual-fuel smart range offers a seamless fusion of gas and electric cooking capabilities, providing versatility and efficiency in the kitchen. Boasting a gas cooktop paired with an electric oven, this range ensures more even baking, resulting in perfectly cooked dishes every time.

A notable feature of this range is its innovative oven design, which incorporates a ceramic divider, allowing users to switch between a large single cavity (6.3 cu. ft.) and two smaller cavities (2.7 cu. ft. and 3.4 cu. ft.).

This faux-double oven configuration enables simultaneous cooking of different dishes, such as broiling halibut in the top half while roasting potatoes in the lower half, optimizing cooking efficiency and flexibility.

During testing, we were impressed by the range's user-friendly interface, highlighted by easy-to-use, brightly-lit control dials and panel.

The inclusion of air fry functionality further enhances its appeal, offering a convenient option for achieving crispy, delicious results.
